Together with Boğaziçi University, we evaluated opportunities for cooperation aimed at strengthening intergenerational communication between our elders and young people, and developing social responsibility–based initiatives.
Prof. Dr. Dilek Altun, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Boğaziçi University, together with faculty members Lecturer Ayşe Çobanoğlu, Prof. Dr. Sumru Akcan, and Faculty Secretary Hamide Kuşçu, visited our President Esra Ceceli İslam.
During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation to enhance communication between our residents and young people were evaluated. Special emphasis was placed on how language education in advanced age can support cognitive health, strengthen memory, and increase social interaction. Ideas were exchanged on potential social responsibility projects that university students could undertake in this field.
