The Aging Workshop, organized by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Family and Social Services, was held at the Darülaceze Presidency with the participation of academics working in the field of aging, civil society representatives, experts and managers of our social service organizations in Istanbul.

Speaking at the opening, Istanbul Provincial Director Ömer Turan said, “We aim to make significant contributions to our country's aging policy before the Aging Council.”

Our Darülaceze President Esra Ceceli İslam, in her welcoming speech at the opening, said, “Istanbul is drawing an important data and future roadmap regarding aging. The results of today's workshop will constitute the most strategic points in terms of aging policies. As our President has stated; “Taking care of our elderly is taking care of our future.”

Our Istanbul Deputy Governor Serap Özmen Çetin said, “Our elderly are the living representatives of our culture. It is our duty to find ways to transfer this accumulated knowledge and experience to future generations. "I believe that the results of this workshop will be an important building block," she said, drawing attention to the importance of the workshop.

Following the opening presentation by Arzu Bulut, the Head of the Elderly Unit at the Istanbul Provincial Directorate, participants comprehensively evaluated elderly policies at working tables organized under different headings.
