To keep people alive while also preserving their connection to life.
The psychosocial support and rehabilitation services offered at Darülaceze Okmeydanı Campus aim to strengthen the well-being of individuals not only physically but also mentally and socially. Our fundamental approach is to honor our residents' past life experiences, make the present meaningful, and build a sense of belonging for the future.
This service model is carried out under four main headings: psychological support, rehabilitative workshop activities, group activities, and production-based participatory work.
Psychological and Social Support Services
- Individual psychological counseling sessions
- Psychiatric assessment and referral
- Studies on coping with aging, loss, and the grieving process
- Post-trauma readjustment therapies
- Social situation planning with social workers
- Group therapies and support meetings
These processes are carried out by the institution’s psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers. The primary aim is to prevent residents’ isolation, maintain a sense of belonging, and support their participation in social life.
Rehabilitation and Production Workshops
At Darülaceze, producing is not just a function, but a matter of identity. In workshops shaped according to the physical abilities of our residents, individuals engage in:
- Wood painting
- Ceramics
- Handicraft textiles (knitting, embroidery, sewing)
- Jewelry and accessory design
- Painting and calligraphy
These products are displayed and offered for sale in social sales areas established within the campus and on our website. Our residents are incentivized with a defined allowance system within the institutional system from the sales revenue obtained from these productions.
