DARÜLACEZE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SERVICES

Within Social Life, Intertwined with Culture

The services offered at Darülaceze are not only based on meeting physical needs;
the goal is for the individual to lead a meaningful, productive, and social life.

Our social and cultural services create a multifaceted living space where our residents can express themselves, share their past experiences, and establish new relationships.

These services, with both their inward-facing (for residents) and outward-facing (open to visitors and the community) dimensions, represent the institution's vision of social integration.

Social Activities for Residents

  • Music recitals, folk music and classical Turkish music workshops
  • Art therapy applications, painting and writing workshops
  • Film screenings, documentary screenings, memory sharing
  • Book reading days and traditional story hours
  • Birthday celebrations, national and religious holiday organizations
  • Group walks, outdoor breakfasts, seasonal picnics
  • Tournaments among residents, festivals and exhibitions

External Cultural Participation and Social Interaction

Social and cultural activities outside the institution carried out within this scope:

  • Theatre, concert, cinema and museum visits
  • “Intergenerational solidarity” projects conducted with universities
  • Conversation meetings with visiting students
  • Interactive talks with volunteer artists and academics
  • Participation in external events on social awareness days

Such activities allow individuals to touch the lives of others with their own stories.
