Within the scope of the Darülaceze Regulations dated April 12, 1332 and numbered 2511; Darülaceze is a public administration with a special budget and public legal personality operating within the administrative boundaries of Istanbul.
As Darülaceze, care, shelter, rehabilitation and health services are provided to all those in need, including men, women, children and infants, to the extent of the institution's capacity. The entire Darülaceze budget, created from the rental income of movable and immovable properties donated by our donors, is used for the expenses of the institution's residents. In addition, services are provided to our visitors who wish to visit the residents of Darülaceze and our historical building during visiting hours.
As Darülaceze, in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) and related legislation and legal regulations; this information text has been prepared regarding the processing, storage and transfer of your personal data, our citizens, in order to fulfill our duties and responsibilities, to enable you to benefit from the services we offer, and to support you regarding the services we provide.
Processing of Your Personal Data and Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data
Within the scope of our activities, business processes, services we provide, and our duties and responsibilities, your identity information, contact information, location information, legal transaction information, citizen transaction information, physical security information, transaction security information, financial information, visual and audio recording information are processed. The specified personal data is processed for the following purposes:

Processing Your Special Categories of Personal Data and the Purposes of Processing Your Special Categories of Personal Data
Within the scope of our activities, business processes, duties and responsibilities and services we provide, your health information, criminal conviction information and security measure information, which are considered special categories of personal data, are processed. The specified special categories of personal data are processed for the purposes listed below:

- Execution of audit/ethical activities,
- Ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with legislation,
- Execution of service-related business processes,

- Execution of service production and operation processes,

Methods of Collecting Your Personal Data and the Legal Reasons on Which Personal Data Processing Activities Are Based
As Darülaceze, your personal data is collected and processed through printed forms, electronic forms, online electronic forms, contracts, information and documents declared by the relevant party, telephone/call center conversations, e-mail correspondence, electronic tracking and physical access control systems, CCTV camera recording devices, photo/video recording devices, online platforms (website and mobile applications), social media accounts, mobile devices, information systems and electronic devices.
Your personal data is processed in accordance with Article 5, paragraph 2, subparagraph (a) of the KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) "Explicitly provided for in the laws", (c) (c) "It is necessary to process the personal data of the parties to the contract, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract", (d) "It is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation", (e) "It has been made public by the data subject himself/herself", (f) "It is necessary to process the data for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right" and (c) "It is necessary to process the data for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject" are the legal grounds for processing. Personal data is processed based on the legal grounds specified in the second paragraph of Article 5 of the KVKK (Law on Protection of Personal Data), and is processed based on the "explicit consent of the data subject".
Your health data, which is considered special categories of personal data, is processed based on the legal grounds specified in the third paragraph of Article 6 of the KVKK, which states that "Personal data relating to health and sexual life can only be processed by persons or authorized institutions and organizations under the obligation of confidentiality for the purpose of protecting public health, preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, treatment and care services, planning and management of health services and their financing, without seeking the explicit consent of the data subject" or based on the "explicit consent of the data subject".
Your criminal conviction and security measure data, which is considered special categories of personal data, is processed within the scope of Article 6 of the KVKK. Personal data is processed "in cases stipulated by law" or "with the explicit consent of the data subject".
Recipient Groups to Whom Your Personal Data is Transferred and the Purposes of Transfer
Your personal data is transferred to:
● In accordance with legal regulations and the legislation we are subject to, upon a court decision or at the request of authorized administrative authorities, to Authorized Public Institutions and Organizations for the purpose of ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with the legislation and providing information to authorized persons, institutions and organizations,
● To the company established by Darülaceze for the purpose of carrying out service-related business processes, service-related support processes, service production and operation processes, and service support processes,
● To Real Persons or Private Law Legal Entities for the purpose of carrying out contract processes, service-related business processes, service-related support processes, service production and operation processes, and citizen relations management processes,
● To Real Persons or Private Law Legal Entities for the purpose of carrying out contract processes, supply chain management processes, and procurement of goods/services, It may be transferred to suppliers.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
Within the scope of the KVKK and related legislation, regarding your personal data;
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- To request information regarding the processing of your personal data if it has been processed,
- To learn the purpose of the processing of your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
- To know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred domestically or abroad,
- To request the correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the KVKK legislation,
- To request that this situation be notified to the third parties to whom we have transferred your personal data when you request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and the deletion or destruction of your personal data,
- Processed data You have the right to object to a result that is detrimental to you, arising solely from the analysis of your personal data through automated systems, and to demand compensation for any damages you suffer as a result of the unlawful processing of your personal data.
Information on Exercising Your Rights as a Data Subject
You can submit your applications and requests regarding your personal data through the Data Subject Application Form;

- by sending a signed document and identity verification document to Darülaceze cad. You can submit your application to the Darülaceze Presidency by: sending it to the address No: 51 Okmeydanı/Şişli
Istanbul, by personally applying to the Darülaceze Presidency with a valid identity document, by sending it by email to kvkk@darulaceze.gov.tr with a mobile signature or secure electronic signature, or by sending it to our registered electronic mail address darulaceze@hs02.kep.tr using a registered electronic mail (KEP) address and secure electronic signature or mobile signature.
In accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to the Data Controller, the Data Subject must include their name, surname, signature if the application is in writing, Turkish Republic identity number, (if the applicant is a foreigner, their nationality, passport number or identity card if available) in their application. The application must include the applicant's address (including their place of residence or workplace for notification purposes), email address (if any), telephone number, fax number, and information regarding the subject of the request.
The relevant person must clearly and understandably state the requested matter in the application, which includes explanations regarding the right they wish to exercise. Information and documents related to the application must be attached to the application.
While the subject of the request must relate to the applicant personally, if acting on behalf of someone else, the applicant must be specifically authorized to do so and this authorization must be documented (power of attorney). In addition, the application must include identity and address information, and identity verification documents must be attached to the application.
Requests made by unauthorized third parties on behalf of another person will not be considered.
Responding Process to Your Requests Regarding the Processing of Your Personal Data
Your requests regarding your personal data will be evaluated and answered within a maximum of 30 days from the date they are received. If your application is rejected, the reasoned reasons for rejection will be sent to the address you specified in the application, primarily by email or post, using one of the methods selected in the Data Subject Application Form.
